Dogpatch’s Little Gem

Hidden in San Francisco Dogpatch’s industrial building, Jolt N Bolt offers good and cheap eats for the local working class. They serve coffee and pastries beginning at 7:30am, and they will always have at least six pots of different brews for you to choose. A small cup is only $1, and $1.25 for the large.

They serve lunch on weekdays (unsure about weekend hours), usually about $5-6 per order. The lunch menu is different day by day written on a dry erase board. Their signature lunches are their grilled sandwiches and salad. My favorite is the grilled tomato and fresh mozzarella foccacia sandwich with spring mix salad. Another popular sandwich is the spicy chicken. They won’t skimp onthe the portions either. For about $5.50, you’d get a full sandwich and a pretty good size salad with simple vinaigrette. Besides sandwiches, they may have other entrees such as burritos, enchiladas, chicken parmigiana, personal pizzas, chicken cordon bleu, chicken pot pie, and even chow mein. They also serve soup of the day by the cup or bowl. Step in daily to see what dishes they may surprise you with. All cooked with quality and care.
