Park Chow, Sunset San Francisco

Park ChowPark Chow is one of my favorite comfort food restaurants in the Sunset. They serve everything from wood-oven pizza to rib eye steak to wonton appetizers to mean hamburgers. All ingredients are fresh and hearty. Nothing but goodness!

My personal favorite is their slow pot-roasted Beef Short Ribs in mushroom-herb gravy and served with mashed potatoes. Cooked until the meat falls off the bone. Parts of their menu are seasonal. My fall favorite is their mushroom lasagna. Their lasagna style is unique by layering each pasta noodle not uniformly. The top noodle is slightly seared forming crispy edges.

Besides a full bar and a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages, I like to try their creative cooler drinks, which changes now and then on the menu. I’ve tried their watermelon basil cooler, and it was interesting and delicious. Pretty expensive, almost $5 a serving, but worth every drop. If you still have room after your meal, seal the deal with a slice of their Ginger Cake with a scoop of pumpkin ice cream. Their friendly staff makes this dining experience even more enjoyable.

Other locations include Castro District, Lafayette, and Danville.
